Howard W. Hunter:
"The achievement of true greatness is a long-term process. It may involve occasional setbacks. The end result may not always be clearly visible, but it seems that it always requires regular, consistent, small, and sometimes ordinary and mundane steps over a long period of time. We should remember that it was the Lord who said, "Out of small things proceedeth that which is great."
(D&C 64:33.)
For all our friends and family....little something from Elder Russo....this past week week has been a hard week for him, he has been sick with a very bad case of dry skin, something that he has been struggling with his whole life, but for some reason, stress, environment or cold weather, his skin has been making things very uncomfortable and upsetting to Elder Russo.
He is working hard with his companion, many possible baptisms are unfolding at this time, he loves the new are and for the fact he can take the bus or train here and there now. Elder Russo went thru 4 pairs of very expensive leather shoes in less of 12 months, he dropped 2 pants size and still can get the right hair do, because of the double colic up front his forehead, making him a little frustrated. After all....Elder Russo must always look good for the Ladies.
He loves the city, the people, his companion is his favorite so far and his Mission President is very thoughtful and kind to him, always.
Elder Russo has been doing well with the "French" language, still learning the slang's and every day he learns something new.
He is grateful for pastries, hot chocolate and sugar in general to make things a little happier for him at this time of trials.
He misses everyone and asks every week for paper letters. He loves to read before bed time.Elder Russo is a big reader, always has been, many don't know about this, but he lost his perfect eye sight due to reading Harry Potter books in the middle of the night with a flash light.
RJ, has enjoyed reading lots and lots of books, now he only reads religion books to help him be a good missionary, but he would love to read some letters from friends and family to stay close.
Again, thank you for all your support and kind letters and for taking your time to read his blog. He loves everyone and soon will be home. 14 months left.Wow!!!
Thank you!
Stella Russo (mom)
